student nurse here and my favourite thing is when patients tell me what they used to do. their eyes light up with a sparkle. i've meant former policemen, veterans, nurses, bakers, mechanics, proud mummas, lecturers, chefs,, when they hold my hand and tell me about their loved ones too! they are someone's baby, someone's everything. ❤️
