Please add these to the agenda:
1. AU’s "non-interference" policy is protecting dictators, not citizens. We propose: AU must intervene when leaders violate their own constitutions, steal elections, or pass laws like the "Patriotic Act" to jail dissent. Sovereignty belongs to the people, not to presidents.
2. Discuss mandatory asset declaration + AU audit for heads of state. What do we do about presidents whose personal wealth exceeds their national budget, while citizens have no water, no jobs? AU must create sanctions: freeze assets, travel bans for leaders who loot while people suffer.
3. Discuss AU minimum standards: healthcare, sanitation, schools, jobs. What action when a government for 20+ years still can’t give citizens clean water, hospitals, or employment? If citizens have to flee to other AU states to survive, that government must be held accountable at AU level.
4. Discuss leaders who pass laws to ban demonstrations and arrest people for "injuring national interest". Section 59 of Zim’s own constitution guarantees peaceful protest. But MOA + Patriotic Act make it impossible. AU must condemn and sanction member states that jail citizens for exercising AU Charter rights: Article 11 - Freedom of Assembly.
5. If citizens are leaving their countries for jobs/healthcare in other AU states, let’s discuss root causes instead of blaming host countries. AU must create a fund: Countries that fail to provide basics pay into a regional migration support fund.
