@esmeeetwell: How I reduce inflammation + bloating in my body QUICKLY ⬇️⬇️⬇️ As someone who’s dealt with a sensitive gut, IBS symptoms and bloating for YEARS, I know how frustrating it is to constantly feel bloated. I tried what felt like every supplement, diet and food restriction, but nothing ever seemed to work. Even a cup of tea or some Greek yoghurt would leave me looking like a balloon. Eventually I got to the point where I genuinely thought, "This is just my life now." ❤️‍🩹 As someone who loves fitness and works so hard in the gym, it was heartbreaking feeling like my progress was constantly hidden by inflammation and bloating. Then last year, my friend gifted me sessions with a nutritionist for my birthday... and honestly, they changed my life. After also being diagnosed with PCOS, I finally started understanding what my body actually needed - and it had a lot less to do with food than I thought. The first video was taken a week and a half ago at the end of my holiday. I felt bloated, drained and just not like myself. So I decided to put everything I'd learnt into practice and see how quickly I could reduce the inflammation in my body. Just 1.5 weeks later, I was 2kg lighter, my bloating had gone down massively, and I finally felt like myself again 🥹🤍 Every body is different, and if your symptoms are severe or ongoing (like mine were), please seek professional advice. But these are the five things that make the biggest difference for me ⬇️ 💧 Drink plenty of water (mostly BETWEEN meals!) My nutritionist explained that drinking lots while eating can dilute digestive enzymes and slow digestion. I drink around a litre when I wake up, then focus on drinking between meals, and it's helped my water bloating so much. 🚶🏼‍♀️ Prioritise your steps Low-intensity movement helps reduce stress, supports digestion and lymphatic drainage, and increases your daily energy expenditure. I aim for a 10-15 minute walk after meals and have been consistently hitting 12-15k steps a day. 🥂 Cut out alcohol Alcohol is inflammatory, so if your goal is reducing inflammation quickly, avoiding it for a while makes a huge difference. You don't have to quit forever, but it really helps during a reset. 😴 Prioritise sleep Your body repairs itself while you sleep - including your gut. I aim for 7-9 hours every night, and I massively underestimated how much this affected my digestion. 🌱 Focus on whole foods For these 1.5 weeks, around 80-90% of my diet came from whole foods. I kept ultra-processed foods to a minimum and focused on simple ingredients like chicken, vegetables, rice, sweet potato and Greek yoghurt. Implementing these habits over just 1.5 weeks gave me these results, and they've continued ever since. I know I'll probably always have a sensitive gut, but learning how to manage it instead of just suffering through it has genuinely been life-changing 🤍 If any of these help you, let me know! And as always, my DMs are always open for any food, gym or gut health questions ❤️ K love u all bye xxx Both fits are from @DFYNE 🙈 code ESMEE to save !! #guthealth #inflammation #bloating #ibs #pcos
