My son's have been investing since they have been 12 (now 22) and 6 (now 14). I had them choose stocks of things they liked. Video Games - Nintendo/Sony Stock, Shoes - Nike, Shopping - Walmart, phones - Verizon etc. I eventually taught them about the S&P 500 and Total Stock Market which they eventually got hip to but starting off on the things they like was a great entrance to investing! Also for my oldest's check we went with spend 50% however he saw fit, invest 20%, save 15%, give 15%. 🙏🏾
