@socratessworld1: Immigration Fact-Check 049 🇬🇧 Most people preparing a visitor visa application focus only on proving they can AFFORD the trip. But there’s a second, often-overlooked element: proving your INTENTION TO LEAVE. Caseworkers want to see evidence of your ties back home — property or asset ownership, your employment or business situation, family responsibilities that require your return, community ties, and if you’re a student, evidence of your current studies and expected return. Critically: don’t just show funds for your UK trip — show you have enough to support your life back home AFTER you return too. This is sometimes called the “Anchor Test” — caseworkers assess whether your life is genuinely anchored outside the UK. A detailed covering letter tying all this evidence together can make a real difference. Source: Immigration Rules Appendix V; specialist immigration law analysis.
