In this video, I wanted to share a simple idea for how you can elevate your 3D prints or other things you create, help them stand out in a sea of similar products, and potentially increase your profits at the same time. Instead of just making an item and calling it finished, I’m taking it through a few different levels. Starting with a simple 3D print, turning it into something more useful and collectible, and finally designing custom retail-style packaging around it. This video is actually me going from the initial idea to my first prototype, so this is definitely a process I’ll continue working on and improving. If you decide to try something similar, expect to spend some time figuring everything out at first. But once you get the design and process dialed in, reproducing it in larger quantities becomes much easier and cheaper. Personally, I enjoy making things like this for myself, but if you’re selling your creations, this could be a great way to add some extra personal touches, make your products stand out, and potentially generate more revenue. Collectible items and products with good presentation can have a much higher perceived value than simply selling the item by itself. And just to be clear, the Hearthstone used in this video is NOT something I sell. I do not own the IP rights. I make things like this for myself and for my videos. The process and ideas shown here can be applied to your own designs or anything you have the rights to sell. You also definitely do not need the exact equipment I’m using. A lot of this can be done with regular printers, and there are cheaper vacuum-forming options available (although, the cheaper options are usually MUCH smaller making bigger scale production more time consuming) I’m using the xTool M2 for printing and cutting simply because I have access to it and it’s a fantastic machine for this type of project. I’m also using the new xTool WonderPress, which I’m already loving. It’s a pretty crazy DIY maker powerhouse, but vacuum forming is one of the features I personally enjoy the most. If you’re in the market for your first or next laser engraver, the xTool M2 is definitely worth checking out, and the WonderPress is a pretty unique machine that opens up a ton of possibilities for projects like this. @xtoolofficial #xtool #xtoolwonderpress #maker #crafting #business
