Any time I make biscuits like this and I use a, for example love heart shaped cutter, they always mutate in the oven and then come out completely losing their shape. How would you suggest the biscuits hold that cookie cutter shape. Do you think I need to put them in the fridge or the freezer for an hour and then cook from chilled?

We call them Empire Biscuits here in Scotland. I absolutely love them. The recipe I use you use icing sugar instead of caster sugar

I’m from Northern Ireland but I’m living in Scotland. They call them Empire Biscuits here. When my 19 year old son was little he used to call them Vampire Biscuits 😂😂

Love a German biscuit the bakery beside me does one with jam on the top as well as the middle with coconut, that’s my favourite one , not a fan of icing and sprinkles.
