@the.baby.whisperer: When can I sit my baby up? 👶 ⠀ The answer has less to do with age than with the lower back. ⠀ The lumbar reflex is the longest leverage point for the spine to arch, essential for posture, mobility and eventually walking upright. From birth it is activated through the Breast Crawl, where babies arch the back, push with the legs and lift the head. ✨ ⠀ When birth is stressful (c-section, forceps, vacuum, prolonged labour), these reflexes may not fully integrate. ⠀ Sitting baby upright too early, before 5 to 6 months, can reinforce the imbalance if the lumbar spine is not yet strong enough.
