Courts VERY often rule that forcing an entire workplace or public space to be 100% fragrance-free is an unreasonable burden on an employer, as scents are found in everyday items like laundry detergent, soap, and shampoo. 👀👀 So you might be fine if you just push back.

I see both sides to the perfume issue. If a person is drowning themselves in it then they need to be talked to and dealt with.The whole office should not have to change due to one person.Goes the same if someone is allergic. Not everyone should have to change because of one person. Maybe that person needs to be put in a place where she is not so exposed to it. We can not keep catering to one person out of a group of people. Where does that leave most of the group and their rights.

Sprayed fragrances are Fine when they don’t douse their whole body with it and if it’s not the really cheap stuff (yes people can smell if it’s cheap). Quality fragrances only need one spray to work.

1) lol 2)As someone who is allergic to a most perfumes, this comment section is a little scary. Most of the time, if HR puts a notice out about not using perfumes and cologne, it is because someone in the office is very allergic. The people saying they’d wear extra perfume may be liable to a criminal case or civil lawsuit if they did that. Just a friendly PSA.
