Guanfacine has been life changing for me, I’m on 2mg XR. I don’t think of it as suppression, I think of it as correcting a chemical imbalance. My norepi levels are just naturally too high. I can feel/express my emotions way more now that I’m not just constantly stuck in a panic with liquid fear running through my veins 👀 Fingers crossed the 1mg goes well for you!!

It so interesting to me that people have such different experiences with guanfacine. Some people it helps them a lot and some it makes them so fatigued. I was in the fatigue group unfortunately. I felt like a zombie for 3 weeks when I was on it.

I would love to know how you track all of this. I love how many small experiments you’re doing on yourself. How do you structure it so you spread out the medicines and can observe the changes? I’m so impressed.

I’m asking my doctor if I can switch to extended release too! I take one MG at bedtime and by three or 4 o’clock the next day I’m starting to feel the adrenaline kick in

What is wrong with me that none of the things everyone else seems to be sedated by always makes me wired. 😩 It helps with the autonomic FoF stuff a little, but barely. I’m so sad.

From my experience - my fight or flight can still kick in when needed. My partner was hospitalized 3 times in a week and I stressed out plenty. But it's so nice to not wake up feeling panic and dread. Smooth wake ups are glorious!

I cant wait to see how you feel in er. I take clonidine patch and after 8 hours I was great. during my Adrinaline dumps and sensitive hearing and agitation and complete panic and flee. to maybe 1 time a week. but now I have sore br3ast. im afraid ill have to taper to gaunfacine. the taper is complicated.

the 1 mg XR has been crazy change for me went on it literally right after you for ADHD not for pots and noticed a change in less then a week especially after getting through the sedative phase. it's not helping the ADHD really but the pots has changed not perfect but my qol has risen

1 mg ER is less bioavailable than 1 mg IR (0.5 mg * 2). You'd be reducing your overall dose fyi.
