I think you just need to find the right products for your natural hair and it will look just as shiny and soft, but maybe with a little wave in it

Heat smooths kinks in ur hair making it shiny and flat unless u have pin straight hair, heat will do this but it causes split ends as it breaks the bonds in ur hair therefore causing split ends. This means that to maintain this shiny looking hair u will have to continuously damage it w heat and it will look frizzier and frizzier naturally.
