@madeweavelove: I need your help… I’ve been brainstorming a brand new series, but I haven’t got a name for it yet! The idea? Taking my spinning wheel and loom out into the world to create from beautiful campsites, hidden gems and breathtaking locations. My new Kromski Sonata Encore folds down and packs safely into a large rucksack, which means my studio doesn’t have to stay at home anymore. After 10 years of Made Weave Love, I’m ready for a new adventure. For a long time I’ve felt like my creativity has wanted more sky above it. More fresh air. More moments where making and nature come together. One of the greatest gifts my business has given me is the flexibility to grow it around the people I love most. My husband, our daughters and Big Rodge have all been part of this journey and I can’t think of a better way to spend this next chapter than exploring together, making memories, and creating beautiful things along the way. So it’s early days but here’s where you can help… What on earth would you call the series?! 👀🫣😂 Current contenders are Made Weave Wheels and Wheelie Good Weaving… which is EXACTLY why I need your help before I’m cursed with a ridiculous series name for the next 10 years 😂 And while you’re at it, tell me about the places you’d love to see me visit. Think peaceful campsites, breathtaking views, forests, lakes, coastlines… anywhere that deserves a place on the adventure list. Today’s reel is just the very beginning of this journey. I’m blending fibres for a custom scarf commission in a palette of creams, neutrals and shimmering gold while giving my Sonata Encore its test run. Maybe "The Wandering Weaver" or "Landscapes and Looms" (I love alliteration) 😂. Even "The Travelin' Loom" or "Loom on Location". If location were not limits, I'd say come to the Northern California coastline or Yosemite. I'm biased since I live in NorCal, but both of these locations are eye-poppingly stunning. If you're thinking of avoiding the U.S. ( which I can't blame you and would actually recommend, currently), then I'd love to see gorgeous rural landscapes, mountainous regions, and coastlines of England, Scotland, and Ireland. 😍 I think it'd be cool to weave something to match the glory of Aura Borealis up in Norway, too. Can you imagine using that scene as inspo for your tapestry?!? It would be gorgeous. 🥰
