Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Ayyub Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Ayyub (1952-2016) was a distinguished Saudi Islamic scholar, Qur'an reciter, and Imam of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (the Prophet's Mosque) in Madinah. He was renowned for his powerful, melodious, and deeply emotional style of Qur'an recitation, making him one of the most beloved reciters in the Muslim world. He memorized the Holy Qur'an at a young age and later completed his higher education at the Islamic University of Madinah, where he earned a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, and a Ph.D. specializing in Tafsir (Qur'anic Exegesis) and the sciences of the Qur'an. Throughout his career, Sheikh Muhammad Ayyub served as an Imam at several mosques in Madinah before being appointed as an Imam of the Prophet's Mosque. Alongside his role as an Imam, he worked as a university professor, teaching Qur'anic sciences and contributing to Islamic scholarship.
