I resonate with this definition. A word I’ve used to describe this was “apatheistic”. As in, I don’t care; that has nothing to do with me. But that never felt fully accurate.

when I say I don't believe in God some people say I'm atheist but I don't identify myself with anything, I like to be fluid and believe in things that resonates with me, my beliefs don't have a rigid identity.

I don't like labels in general. I think it makes something simple and very complicated. like the comedian Richie Gervais said, "someone said God is real. I say can you prove that? they answer no and I say then I don't believe you."

On the same reasoning an a-gnostic is someone who is unconvinced of the propositions of gnosticism, but is that how we use the term “agnostic”

I was so against spirituality at first because of the pseudo science explanations and how people confidently claim that their subjective experiences is the truth, but watching you helped me to pay attention to the things i absolutely do not agree with without reacting or judging.

Very nice! My own approach starts with the fuzzy concept of a set G of all conceivable gods that some people have believed, do believe, could believe, or might one day believe to exist—then I note that this set can be partitioned into an Affirmation subset A (gods one believes to exist), a Rejection subset R (gods one believes NOT to exist) and a Suspension set S (gods where there is a suspension of belief as to their existence or nonexistence). This gives a result of seven possible categories, three that fall under atheism (where the affirmation set is empty) and four that fall under theism (where the affirmation set is non-empty).

I think part of the communication barrier is my definition doesn't often matter, because my existence itself is the attack on their belief. My simply being an atheist is an attack on their theism, my vegetarianism is an attack on their omnivorism, my poly is an attack on their mono, my no kids, an attack on their kids. All before I even open my mouth.

I don't need to identify as an atheist in life. It rarely comes up, when it does others make the claim of gods, to which I reply I don't believe them and they call me an atheist. Atheism is merely a reaction to the claims of theists and various gods
