I'm one of those women and I've come forward numerous times. I've given police a list of names and numbers of additional victims willing to come forward/testify. I'm a literal doctor with white privilege and I'm STILL not taken seriously.

Yep, and the stigma around reporting years later needs to go away. The statute of limitations for sexual assault needs to go away too. It can take a lifetime to fully process what happened, let alone be ready to share the details of that trauma. Victims are stuck with that pain every day; it doesn’t expire, so why should some jerk get to shrug off his actions just because a few years have passed? Every asshole who says, “Well, why didn’t she say anything?” has been brainwashed by patriarchy.
