@theparentsbuddy: Sometimes, the worst thing a child ever did is not even the part they remember most. It is the way their parents responded. The calm question. The unexpected grace. The food kept aside. The reminder that even in disappointment, love was still there. Not every mistake was met with shouting. Some were met with something heavier: kindness. What is one mistake you made growing up that your parents handled in a way you will never forget? 👇🏾 #parenting #parentsbuddy
mm long story short, I got my gal pregnant when I was 19 n still in school. I was so scared and didn't want to be a disappointment so I kept it to myself,I struggled to provide n even kept it from my gals family . on the day my son was born it was my gals sister that call my mom n told her and when my phone finally rang my heart stop cause I felt she would say so much but her response was " Son why didn't you tell me? I would never have criticize you, you're my favorite and I've always believe that you were strong and that you would make me proud, you've just proven that to me.
Omor I paused in the school compound and tears of joy rolled, till today I keep doing my best and I love my boy so much
I love mom too ❤️

some years ago, my lodge rent in school expired and I couldn't call my mum to tell her about it cause it would be the 2nd time doing that cause she already gave me the money and I used it for something else. we went on session holidays and I couldn't go home to her yet, instead I went somewhere else to go work and try to raise the money before school resumption.
well, my mum called one day asking about my whereabouts and she knows very well when im lying. she paid my tfare for me to come back home.
I came back and 2 days before resumption, she called me and sat me down to talk to me. started saying a lot of things that got to me and I finally opened up about the rent and how I didnt make use of the money and now I am stranded.
the rent at that time was N80,000 cause I was splitting with my roommate.
this woman opened her bank account in my presence with tears, her account balance was N85,000. the last thing she said before transferring that money to me was, "you're my only child, no matter the wrong you've done to me, I will still starve just so you won't starve." She was crying like a baby while sending the money, I also joined and cried.
I love my mum so much no matter how bad it gets. things are not exactly perfect right now but I'm writing this for the universe that I will pay my mum back for every good thing she has done for me. mama, you're the only family I have and I will do anything for you.❤️

When I broke my pelvis some years back, I was unable to use my legs. A friend reached out to my dad and told him that I got involved in a crash. He didn’t ask how or why. He asked if I was alive and told him to bring me home. 😭My parents and siblings would carry me around, massage, bath, clean me up and engage in exercises with me. I felt bad and kept apologizing for stressing them, they never complained. They did this till I was back on my feet. No love can beat that ❤️. (brb I’m crying)

There are many I would like to talk about. but I would say this first. I remember when I first wrote my Jamb exam I had 155 and I wanted to study Medicine. I was so scared to tell my Dad. After crying alone, I stopped eating, I summoned the courage to tell him. He was like heennn, you don't have to be too hard on yourself, he encouraged. the following year, I wrote another jamb I smashed it got 277 but I still didn't enter school. the following year I tried again 255 but entered UI not Medicine. the following year tried again I had 288, now studying Medicine in OOU. Graduating Next year in sha Allah. That man is the Best🥰.

can we All be honest ...
whenever something bad happened to us, the guilt and disappointment always remains in us and hurt us, but the moment we told our parents or the found out, and after all the quarrels, beating, shouting or advice from them, we All feel RELEAVE and can finally move on.
Am I the only one here please 😂

I can remember when I was younger, my mum made me so annoyed that I decided to play a foolish prank on her 😔😔. Anytime she called my name I'll pretend like I didn't hear her, like even if she's not too far. It went on and on until I lied to her that I was having ear issues. She looked at me with sadness in her eyes and didn't say anything, she just held my hands and prayed for me. The next few days I told her that I was better and it was just water that entered my ear while I was bathing, so she was so happy and she started thanking God. months later, one day I was asked to clean her shelf and I saw a piece of paper, so curious me, I opened it and read the content 🤧❤️🩹 it was a prayer to God to heal her sons hearing ability 🥺🥺.love my mum so much ❤️🩹❤️🩹

I was 7 when I bed wetted, I don't remember if it was the first time, but I remember it was the last time, I was in primary 3. My mum took me to school and paraded me around the assembly as "punishment" for bed wetting. Did I bedwet again? NO, but I cried my eyes out that day and for the first time, I didn't get the 1st position that term. I was just displaced mentally, I still feel some sadness when I remember that day. I remember begging and pleading with my mom, she said "you need to learn, one way or another". 😔 This was the first experience that made me think "she's not my mom".
