@swanson4mi: I know that when some people hear I’m a sheriff, they’ve already made up their mind. But when they see the work we’ve done to change lives through education, rescue victims of human trafficking, walk with protesters, and bring people together instead of pushing them apart, something changes. The labels disappear. The walls come down. We find common ground. I’m a different kind of sheriff. A different kind of Democrat. Maybe just a different kind of cat.
