i think the movie's biggest flaw is that they don't commit to anything and rush out of everything like hulk / damage control / sadie / punisher / the street level stuff etc

I wanna pretend that the movie is perfect so much, but it's not and it just hurts. This movie is so very clearly a building movie, that's why it doesn't land the way a stand alone movie should. It introduced alot, the next two movies are gonna be incredible because this one is flawed. I'm rewatching it this week, I still am able to want to do that because it's Spider-Man, that's pretty much an effect that this character has lol

the fact people are saying this film is on par with spiderman 2 or hailing this as the greatest spiderman film ever is appalling to me the first half was really solid but that second half was not really good

Thats why i always come to your reviews before i see mcu films, im genuinely exhausted by seeing "its PEAKKKKKK" on every single mcu movie, just to watch it and see that wvery fucking story line is nearly identical lol

Personally I found the first half really strong, amongst the best out of all Spiderman movies and then it completely lost its charm by using extremely common tropes and the classic cliche misunderstood villain with sentimental but extremely generic motivations. They haven’t been able to write a single good villain in 10 years at it with the only exception being Jake gyllenhaal just being an incredible actor. Idk every mcu Spider-Man movie are always a bit underwhelming

My biggest flaw of the movie is it regressing back to the status quo of the home trilogy, where mj and Ned remmeber Peter instead of the story moving on from them and introducing new characters like black cat ir Gwen Stacy
