the “i hate men” crowd on tiktok and social media comes from a group of young women whos hatred stems from relationship problems or how men acts in a relationship. They’re not from the “i see men as my oppressor” crowd. Meaning, it’s super superficial and ironically, men-centric (again). That’s probaby an answer to a lot of these debates because they’re not feminists! It’s a trend that circles back to heterosexual relationships and its bs

and sadly, half the time they’re right… there’s an insanely large subset of women who view feminism as “community where i can hate on the men i’ve dated and describe my dating woes until i find a partner” or “temporary stop before i find the man of my dreams/technique to get him”. “girls’ girl feminism”. their feminism starts and ends at “men ain’t shit, text me back and buy me flowers!”. when they find one good man, suddenly they don’t give a single fuck about women or sisterhood or women’s rights, and certainly not the most serious issues in non-western countries. they don’t gaf. they need to learn that feminism isn’t a little club, but an actual movement for female liberation.

this is why its important to do the inner work. Hatred a lot of the time stems from something you never healed from. A lot of "i hate men" kind of women end up in the same cycle of hurt they were before, but trick themselves into thinking theyre "smarter" and less naive. If you operate in the genuine belief all men are bad, youll think you found a gem amongst men when a man is simply... not all that.

And when you don’t, they complain. I’ve dated only a few men, and every single one of them thought I was just playing hard to get, until we’re two years in and I start hearing complaints about how: I’ve never cooked or cleaned for them, I never need them, ask them for help, want to meet their friends/family, I don’t baby them, I only want to be intimate on my time and I have no problem shoving you off, etc. They want the appeal of a selfish woman, and when they finally get one, they’re confused why they aren’t being coddled behind closed doors🫩
