Westgate is definitely for a certain type of person… 👀 arguably the worst place to stay in park city & ran by terrible people but hey to each their own 🤷🏻♀️

We actually own a timeshare at Westgate in Vegas and love it. But the Park City location is awesome. And yes, anyone can book.

My grandparents actually have a BANGER time share they bought into like 30+ years ago and every year they get to take me on a 1 week trip to a resort of my choice and it only costs like $500 for the full week. I believe they said they paid 10k to buy in and pay a couple hundred dollars annually but they go on sooooo many trips every year because it’s SO cheap. They just have to pay the resort fees. This year I went to New Orleans, and last year was Orlando. Very sad that time shares are essentially a scam now but I feel lucky that I get to have the privilege of one that isn’t 🥰

My mom bought before the rest was built around it. Literally it was just bear cabin and not even the pool was built yet. Then they kept upping the maintenance fees every year, she was paying as much as she would if she just bought a week without being an owner. She just got out of it after paying a ton to do that too, after 20 something years. It was sad but definitely needed. We have the best memories there!

It’s great until you book an A side and get stuck in a lock off side. After that happening the 3rd time, we got rid of it. Took a lawyer and a death certificate to get out of it. Never again.

Careful of timeshares. We paid $6,000. to get out of one. When you become older and can’t use it then pass away it goes to your kids. They become responsible for the yearly cost. Whether they want it or not. 🥵

I used to own here. I miss this place. I bought in for under $1500 bc I put $300 down the yr before & the contract froze the price - they were forced to honor it but were not happy about it. 😅 maintenance fees rose to $600 every other yr & my ex had a major accident so we let it go. 😔
