Shut up until your name is mentioned, or they mention your department. Or.. they mention the department that feeds yours. For example. If you work in Accounts Receivable. You shut up until they mention that you are not managing your customers and getting them to pay on time, or how to deal with accounts in delinquency. When they talk about sales targets not being met, you shut up and note down who is a poor sales rep, so you can monitor if they complete all docs at point of sale, so you in receivables are not given “we couldn’t pay coz we don’t have xyz docs for our procedures.”

I was asked to prepare a process map for a product for a department I don’t even work at 😭😭😭 - I almost put in a resignation when they said I must also be ready to present it to Exco.
