@chistysabri007: On his way to Mecca in the 13th century, the Punjabi Sufi saint Hazrat Baba Farid ud-Din Ganj Shakar stopped in Jerusalem and meditated in a cave near Al-Aqsa Mosque for 40 days. Located near Herod's Gate, this location is referred to as Zawiya Al-Hindiya or the Indian Hospice. It provides a view of the Noble Sanctuary. Baba Farid conducted solitary meditation and swept the Al-Aqsa Mosque during his visit of approximately 1200 CE. The site has since evolved into a renowned Sufi lodge, which is still operational today. It is maintained by a Muslim family of Indian descent from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
