Greetings from Germany Just my opinion. Don't get rid of the cars. I'd rather optimize the sidewalk, add a shared bike lane, more benches around the trees, and make the space more inviting. If no bike is there, People walking on the sidewalk (i forgot the correct name) can share it with bike people. like this
