like do ppl not realize WE even struggle with fires and just cuz we can maintain it better than other countries doesnt mean it isnt as scary or upsetting???? pp dont even realize how bad our fires get cuz they just see a news article and only care when their influencers are being ran from their homes. like just cuz we get them a lot doesnt make it any less of a natural disaster, other countries are just getting it now

the problem for us is we PREVENT natural fires TOO MUCH! long before we were here to squirt water over flames, things would burn seasonally, in turn- the forests and plains wouldn't be overgrow and drop dead flamable materials to make said seasonal fires 100x worse. we gotta make prescribed burns more popular

fighting US wildfires is far more complex than people understand... if nothing else than getting 1500 firefighters & equipment to gather in 5 days... AND the food & toilets to handle the basic needs. I have been on fires where there were over 100 engines & crew buggies...

The human race can achieve anything. If it’s such a mind to it we can achieve anything. If you set our minds to it. Everything is possible you just have to sit your mind to it. We can do the impossible but people constantly think it’s impossible you can do you just have to set your mind to it. Reach 100% put out a wildfire that bit.

this is the first i’ve heard of uk wildfires and my first thought was more of “don’t use such definitive language because it can be done, but it takes time and effort.” the reaction from people just reminds me of what happened during the texas snowstorm a couple years ago. the response was similar
