Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states have the right to defend themselves when they are repeatedly targeted by attacks on oil tankers, energy infrastructure, and strategic assets. A country or actors that continue to threaten the security of an entire region over months through such actions cannot expect the affected states to simply stand by and do nothing. Selfdefense is not aggression, it is a response to a real threat.
