I agree with you, yet one of the hardest things for me is the 'good' people that vote republican, especially supporting Trump. Do you think they are aware how much destruction they are supporting? For example, bombing Iran, starting with the bombing of a girls school.

I cannot in good faith say that Americans are "good" people. The white, non-immigrant majority are insincere, weak, morally bankrupt and complicit in their government's evil doings. I lived in the US from 1966 to 2017 as an immigrant, then naturalized US citizen. I barely knew my neighbors (the white ones) and I perceived their racism because my husband was Arab. In college, my roommates kept trying to convert me to their brand of Christianity. My child endured racism because she didn't eat pork, had an exotic name and had dark curly hair and big brown eyes. No, the American people are not "good" and their government and its centuries-long atrocities to humankind is the embodiment of evil. If protesting the Vietnam war shows virtue and enlightenment then Donald Trump, 5 time draft dodger is your poster boy. The only "good" thing about Americans is, for at least a time, they allowed immigrants to enter and compete in the work force. Yet today, those "good" Americans are cheering on ICE and cruel prison camps advocating for the death and deportation of immigrants. You're reading from a book which was written decades ago and no longer has a basis in today's reality.

Yeah, if you don’t live in reality, Americans are cool. I’ve hitchhiked 49 states and seen Americans everywhere, and they all petty, selfish and entitled. But to think that is depressing, so we project our values onto others to hold on to hope and not fall into despair. Americans have always been pure trash, but if you don’t know history or read or travel much, they must be quite charming 🔥
