Obviously everyone’s situation is different and if the family is living off of like $40k there isn’t much of a budget to go around but if 1 person is staying home, they need to get autonomy over money that is theirs to spend how they want. Just because one person stays home doesn’t mean they’re not contributing financially. It just means instead of income they’re reducing expenses but it’s just as valuable
