No different than borrowing loans for a car, house ect ..... you pay it back. That's what I wish young people understood. You signed the paperwork you borrowed now you pay it back.

Put politics aside because neither party got rid of the compound interest, or lowered the rates on these loans. That’s what wrong. Of course people should pay their debts. But make it fair, specifically when you’re lending large amounts of money to teenagers with no life experience.

i worked during the day and paid for a couple classes each semester… took me 8 years but got ot done with no debt PLUS an 8 year work history in the same field.

Young people shouldn’t take out those devastatingly expensive loans that they need to pay back.. Maybe work your way through college, earning an income while taking classes.. Attempt to do your best to graduate without debt.. This is what I did.. Roommates also helped me cut down on expenses

Let’s be serious. A huge part of that loan was for “the college experience” Kids feel entitled to go away because of the big party! My daughter wouldn’t listen to me when I suggested starting at community college and now she’s paying the price.
