The streamers I follow have more viewers when they're just chatting. They notice their viewer count goes down when they play games.

my art streams do better than game streams even when I go on 'side quests' where im not actually drawing cuz I start yapping with my chat lol its fun to just chat

I streamed it for four years and had the categories gaming funny just chatting and like six other ones and I mean never passed 10 viewers not once not even 10 unique viewers. The most I had at one point was five. The most unique was seven. I used to clip and post it on my YouTube channel all the time but ended up getting terminated so.

just chatting is harder with 0 viewers. like i always do about 30 minutes of just chatting before playing games and eventually I run out of things to talk about because no one in stream talking or responding lol. my goal is to be able to do a whole just chatting stream. but right now its hard for me to do that.
