I love this. I did really well the first year and then……so so slow.

Hey - 1lb a week is great. Rapid weight loss is bad for you. Slow and steady is best. Your skin recovers better & the rest of your body also needs time to adjust.

Same, I didn’t have any diet or exercise adjustments to make because I already had a healthy and active lifestyle. My obesity is a symptom of genetic autoimmune disorders and insulin resistance. I lose maybe 1 lb a week, sometimes less, and I’m perfectly happy with that. Plus, it’s proof I was never lying about what I eat like so many doctors said I was.

I heard somebody say this once this year will pass whether we do something or do nothing. If you’re losing a pound a week you will still be down over 50 pounds a year from now which is fabulous!!!

Sounds like my story. Been on it for 2 years now. Lost 50lbs so far and stalled out. Working hard to break through the plateau but it seems like nothing is working. I only have 30 more lbs to hit my goal so it’s a bit frustrating but I’m not giving up! I see and feel the change so it’s all worth it!

46 lbs since December. but I feel great, have a ton of energy, no side effects, my hair is thick and shiny. I'm well hydrated and had the mental space to heal my relationship with exercise and research how to be on a GLP-1 in a healthy and sustainable way. people can keep their crazy weightloss, it couldnt be me, I am on a journey to make the last half of my life healthy. I appreciate your perspective.

This!! The difference this time is I’m not being mentally tortured the whole entire time. I’m losing about the same rate I lost before it but I have the mental capacity to actually do good work at my job, and enjoy my life. It’s boring, and it’s perfect!

Same. Slow enough that no one really notices, and I prefer it that way!

Oh I’m the same – I’ve been going since the middle of April, and I did my measurements today and they haven’t even changed barely at all! I’m lucky if I lose a single pound a week, and most often it’s maybe half a pound if that. I think being insulin resistant and 56 is probably the reason for the slow weight loss, but I’m alright with it. I don’t want to lose my hair and to get gallstones and suddenly get lines all over my face, so it’s alright with me. I also don’t want people particularly to start talking about my Wait to me, I don’t want it to be dramatic.

I’m doing it for health not looks. I’m a senior and a widow. Not looking to date or to get attention. This for me to live better for me.

I’m on a slow loss as well. 14 pounds since December. But what’s even better, my knee no longer hurts. That makes up for the slow loss

Do you feel better?! That’s all that matters. I loose 1-2 lbs. I love it. Hoping slow is gonna help with the skin shrink

It’s taken me 18 months at 71 to nearly hit my goal weight maybe 2 or 3kg to go - more body composition rather than a number and just for health and fitness for surfing

I'm so glad I'm finding more accounts like yours. I wish more people understood what so many of us experience on this journey. I've been at this for 3 years, and my experience has been "boring" thw whole time

I feel like long-term weight loss is just going to be boring. I have 90 lbs to lose - almost 8 mos in & 60 lbs down. Meanwhile I go to work & just live my life. It’s dramatic for those havent seen me in months but for me it’s not very exciting (but sooo worth it).

This sounds like my story. I’m only on week 2. I’ve lost a whopping 3 lbs. people make it sound like you’ll lose 5 lbs or more a week. 😂 Thanks for being so realistic. I needed this.

It’s taken me 2.5 years to lose a little over 90 lbs. it’s not limit even with a GLP-1, it’s a tool, but it takes time.

I stopped losing weight at month 10. I haven’t lost a pound in 6 more months.
