I've heard if you mist your windows with water and then put aluminum foil on them it helps

who cares about window blankets? it got so cold this winter I ended up putting the useless flat flannel sheets on the windows to block the chill that was coming thru the plastic. we do what we have to. youre kicking butt!

I’m the same, there’s so many good finds on Facebook marketplace and I have to refrain from getting anything because we’re trying to get out of our rental and into a new purchase soon! We’re excited, but I just really want to get patio furniture already 😂

Not sure what the cost is, but there's window film that you can put on the windows that does an amazing job blocking out the heat from the sun. You still get the light but not the heat. I put it up at an apartment that had wall to wall windows with afternoon / evening sun and it made such a huge difference!

I am totally cool with your blanket idea but tinfoil works four times better. You may want to give it a try in one room just to see how you feel about it, but I think it makes all the difference.

Put aluminum foil between the window and blinds. Doesn’t look the best but reflects the heat and keeps the house cooler

I support the aluminum foil on the windows....however, I work in HVAC, and if you have a shop vac or can get access to one, try cleaning your drain line on your ac. That will keep the system from cooling properly.
