@auntiededei: Responding to a letter from the Ga Paramount Stool Elders, acting on the instructions of Ga Mantse King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Akuapemhene, Nana Kwasi Akufo III, called on Ga communities within the Akuapem Traditional Area to observe the annual Akuapem customary ban on noisemaking. The Ga Paramount Stool Elders had earlier appealed to the Akuapemhene to suspend his planned visits to Chwinto, Adusa, Larteiman, Ankwa Doboro, Deideman, Nsumia, and Papase, citing the need to preserve the longstanding cordial relationship between the Ga and Akuapem traditional authorities. Speaking during his tour of the Adonten Division, the Akuapemhene's call followed concerns raised by the Chief of Ankwa Doboro, who alleged that nearby Ga communities situated on Akuapem land do not observe the customary ban. The affected communities, however, maintain that they are on Ga land and therefore observe the Ga customary ban on noisemaking and traditional festivals. 📷| thepodGh #AuntieDedei
