I had a special-needs son who passed away 11 years ago we had heard that he would not see a year-old and my son made it to be 23 years old. God had other plans! My niece shared your story with me and my heart is just melting. My son did a lot of sign language. He was considered nonverbal but if you were around him, he also had hearing loss. So I think it just gets me neurologically. He had so much going on. He was a cardiac kid during his lifetime. He had 17 surgeries but five major surgeries, but every single day is such a blessing with these kiddos. God is so good all the time he knows what he’s doing when we end up with a special child like this.
