The zhi/shi/chi can be confusing to me. It’s sometimes hard to differentiate them. Also Ri and ren are also hard to me. That’s why when I was learning how to say “日本人”, I was struggling 💀

Just noticed that when you are speaking Chinese, the tone is a little bit different than English. It sounds softer to me. 🥰 Your Chinese is good~

Chinese has been genuinely so easy for me😭 once i started learning it i never understood people who say it’s like this insanely hard language, could it be bc most the books i read are danmei so im used to the names and how to say things🤔 maybe, but i never had an issue with pronouncing things (flat, not including tones…)

As a girl who knows how to speak Chinese a little since I was born in China, Chinese is actually harder than u think kinda. And it’s because of the pronunciation. Mā can be used as mom, and mă means horse. If u don’t correct these and like ur trying to say wǒ yào yī gè mă, *which means I want a horse* but instead u said mā, *mom* then ur going to confuse the people in China as you’re saying “I want a mom.” So pronunciation is really important in Chinese. If u mess up the pronunciation, they won’t really understand u. So māma is mom in Chinese, bàba is dad in Chinese. If ur saying shè rn for shì, ur wrong. Pretend that shì has an r in the end like shìr. If u don’t really understand, u can go and search up on TikTok or YouTube to learn some basic pronunciation to learn some Chinese. Nǐhǎo means, “Hello” and hāi means “hi.” Make sure to learn some basic Chinese to try to communicate with Chinese people. Kāfāi means coffee. 😁 *btw, if I wrote some Chinese words wrong, im rlly srry because I only know a little bit of Chinese! Also, u can go to Duolingo and learn some Chinese since it helped me a lot actually!)
