This was fun; goes to show how everyone has their own view. I loved it, until the ending - the ending ruined it a bit for me. Too Hollywood and cheesy with the neat wrap up 😂

i understand what you mean by the hype. i hate reading booktok popular books when they’re popular because of how hyped they are, it almost never lives up. i wish i waited to read dungeon crawler carl bc of HOW HYPED it issss

Oh yes. After reading The Women first, I don’t think any Kristin Hannah book can compare even though they are all good.

I agree with you about the Nightingale. It’s a good book, but it’s not even one of Kristen Hannah’s top five in my opinion.

Hype can totally distort the reading experience. I will say I read The Nightingale before booktok existed and I would still put The Women ahead of it. Hannah’s writing has just gotten stronger I think!
