I totally agree with BTS on this. Categorizing artists purely by their region feels like a step backward. It diminishes their impact and makes it seem like their music can only be appreciated locally, which is incredibly limiting for any artist

If you go on the Grammy website and look at Beyoncé’s list of wins it lists Cowboy Carter as a Best Contemporary Country album winner and NOT as a Best Country Album winner (which is what actually happened)…historically inaccurate and interesting. Hmmm
