I believe cheesy Michael is a metaphor for extreme longing for karma in a relationship. In the videos, we see they both live in the same house, so we can tell they were once very close. But Tony always explains beforehand that his pranks will ruin cheesy Michaels life and that it would be funny. We can interpret this as hatred from Tony towards Cheesy Michael because they ended things as friends. But since this series has been going on for so long, cheesy Michael has probably changed as a person and has moved on. However, Tony has not and still has a grudge against him in his heart. And so he always plots a prank to hopefully ruin his life as he can’t stand to see someone who once depended on him live a happy and free life independently. But Cheesy Michael never comes out. And so he gets angry, and keeps on trying to prank him. But when he realizes cheesy Michael doesn’t open the door at all anymore, he starts to become desperate and obsessive. So he chants “Cheesy Michael, open up the door” and continues doing it for months in desperation, because now if he could just atleast see him and know he is there, that would make him happy. He still is attached and hasn’t accepted what reality was yet. But Tony never understands that. If he doesn’t move on and find joy and love in himself, and open himself to others, and acknowledge the fact that Cheesy Michael has moved on too, he will continue dying to his own venom.
