Marketa has continued to work with him long after their relationship ended, and anyone who has ever met Glen has had nothing but positive and lovely things to say about him as a person consistently in many different settings throughout his life (including Marketa). This is a waay different situation from preying men who purposely sexualize and objectify women and count the days until a girl turns 18. Glen was well aware it was questionable, but their feelings were genuine, and mutual, and legal when they actually began dating. Not every age gap relationship is inherently problematic. It's worth considering the individuals and their specific circumstances before judging his entire character. Especially doing it after the man has just died is incredibly distasteful.. If Marketa or anyone around him at all ever had anything bad to say about him, sure this would be a valid discussion. But now you're just jumping to conclusions about a man who hasn't even been dead for a week and taking a chance to drag his name through the mud. Glen deserves to be celebrated for the kind soul he was. And victims deserve to be heard. No one is a victim of him tho..

For any people in doubt, it would be a very different story if they’d met when Marketa was in her 20’s and then ended up dating later on. It’s the fact he knew her from she was 13, and let’s say for argument’s sake, he didn’t groom her at the point - the fact they started going out as soon as she turned 18 is proof enough of his intentions, even if she were to come out and say nothing actually happened during her teenage years, it’s still fucking weird. Spot on with this video, mate.

As the mother of a 13 year old this resonates. I think people don’t really understand grooming tbh, they think of gangs of men etc but this kind of grooming is much more prevalent. It’s interesting that people comment that Markéta stayed friends with him so nothing inappropriate could have happened. Often grooming victims don’t see themselves as victims because they believe they gave their consent, but the issue about grooming is that the child/teen is not old enough or experienced enough to give their consent. Victims don’t necessarily see themselves as a victim because the relationship has grown out of a ‘safe’ friendship where the groomer has manipulated them to believe that they are the only person that can be depended on. It’s all very clever.

I find it hard to get on board with people using the exact week / day someone dies and who’s name is receiving a good algorithm push, as the week to speak on them. Whether it’s the intention or not it comes across so so self serving, as if the poster is thinking “this is a topic I can jump onto and maybe gain followers and attention”.
