Leading him out from the pen and onto the trailer was a big moment for him, whether he realized what was happening or not. I know to him it was another trailer. Another uncertainty. But for me it wasn’t. I felt proud in that moment knowing that the ASIAB community saw him and said NOPE, you’re getting out. It was the beginning of his second chance — even if it is for a short time. He’s now on his way to quarantine where he’ll finally get a soft place to rest, good food, fresh water, pain relief, kindness and to be loved. He is so sweet. Thank you — YOU did this for him ❤️

Everyone who owns horses should know that in situations where a horse has 3 legs or just can’t support its weight then the right thing to do is put that baby down. As much as we love and want to help them it’s cruel to stretch out their suffering

You all saying that they should put him down in the comments should never own animals. This animal is suffering in what is essentially a kill pen. At least now he'll get to see a vet and they can decide what's going to be best for his treatment rather that be putting him down or not; and he'll be comfortable. Also, if this turns out to be lymphangitis or cellulitis, BOTH ARE TREATABLE.
