An alleged shoplifter’s attempt to escape police took a wild turn when he ran onto Interstate 75 in Ohio and jumped onto a moving SUV. Miami Township Police said Kaamil O’Berry fled from a traffic stop after officers connected the vehicle to a reported theft at a Kroger. Traffic camera video shows him clinging to the SUV before police say he broke the windshield and tried to carjack the driver. The Ohio DOT camera also captured an embarrassing moment for one of the officers chasing him, who tripped and fell quite unceremoniously during the chase. No one was hurt in the ordeal, and O’Berry was arrested nearby. He faces aggravated robbery, theft and obstruction charges.
