I would add that good leaders create leaders - people that can take over departments of the company when it grows. Bad leaders create minions… do what I say when I say to do it or you have a problem

The worst part- the grief I have knowing the place can’t reach the fullest potential because poor management stands in the way 😏 but they just can’t see it. No matter how hard I’ve tried. Accountability without authority is extortion. I said what I said.

Another: your manager constantly has “meetings” that are never scheduled. They disappear for hours at a time without warning. They blame you when work isn’t done even though they’re part of the team. They come in late and leave early. They only vacations after additional days off like holidays during the week knowing it’s busier. Then come back and complain that work wasn’t done they were supposed to do. My last director was this way.
