You can actually partly blame your husband for this!! Sperm health determines a lot of placenta health and function

As a nurse my advice is to walk after every meal!! It helps regulate your blood sugar. Lots of protein to help stabilize too. You got this!

This is seriously not a big deal. Lots of women have GD - don’t learn through Google - trust your doctor

A handful of nuts and some cheese right before bed helped regulate my sugar levels in the mornings so much!! That one was the hardest to bring down

I had GD! I had to take insulin. Walk after every meal. Tracked everything! It was so hard! But all worth it once the baby is there and makes your first postpartum meal that much better while you hold your newborn 🥰

I wanted ice cream and so I promised my husband if he got me ice cream we would walk it off. My sugar after the walk was normal! So the trick is to exercise after!

My biggest tips: 1. Walk after every meal 2. Make sure you’re still getting at least 15- 30 carbs per meal, you still need them! 3. Still enjoy your sweet treats, safely. Yasso bars never spiked me. 4. Be kind to yourself, a spike every once in a while isn’t going to harm the baby. I used to cry everytime. 5. Make your cravings just carb friendly!

It’s soooo ok to be upset about it! You can get into a routine with the eating and testing but some days are definitely harder than others. Give yourself grace and if you need the meds there’s nothing wrong with that.

Hi❤️OBGYN here who also had GDM and had to start insulin. Being the patient sucked but I got through it by sharing about it on here and sharing meal ideas and snacks etc. GDM can affect anyone. It’s not your fault!!
