I wanted to be Granna… but my first grandchild started calling me Lala. My second grandchild calls me Yaya and my third calls me Wawa? Ages 4,3 and 2. Idk other than speech development why I have 3 different grandma names but I do have a 7 month old grandson who’s not talking yet so I’m just waiting to see what he calls me…. Just waiting on Haha lol

Honestly, "Grandma and Grandpa" is a classic for a reason. Trendy nicknames can feel a bit cringey or childish to kids when they become teenagers, but traditional titles age beautifully. They are easy for toddlers to say, clear to outsiders, and embrace the actual role with pride instead of trying to hide behind a younger-sounding label. Traditional names just hold a level of respect that never goes out of style.
