@mujtabaspeaks: A large of British Kashmiris marched from Speakers' Corner at Marble Arch through central London to highlight the security situation in Azad Kashmir. The demonstration was held amid escalating tensions in the region, where the proscribed Jammu Action Committee has been staging a sit-in protest against the local government. Attempts by the group to lead a march towards the capital, Muzaffarabad, have resulted in violent clashes and unrest across several districts. Around one million people of Azad Kashmiri heritage live in the UK, making it one of the largest Kashmiri diaspora communities in the world. Demonstrators said they had gathered in London to raise awareness of the situation and show solidarity with their families and communities back home.
