I get his argument, however, the old testament is evident that Jesus taught his people how to pray, establishing that there was indeed ‘salat’ before Prophet Mohammad. Also, his argument that Allah wouldn’t burden a soul more than it can bear is plagued with misunderstanding. Let’s take Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, for instance; they were tested with having access to everything in the gardens/heavens except a specific tree, and they failed. Does that make it right to argue that Allah burdened them more than they can bear? Another problem with this argument is that it also makes praying to Allah to ease our affairs, among other things, a distrust in Allah’s promise not to burden us with what we can’t bear. Allahu a’lam.

Sujood was the form of worship long before our Holy Prophet (S.A.W). All the prophets before our prophet used to prostrate before our creator and that was the form of prayer our prophet observed and not the normal sallah we worship. There’s no sense in this argument

Since the beginning of time there was already worship, and to me salat is a form of worship as well so definitely salat is different from what S.A.W observed with the other prophets🤷🏽♂️so they did worshipped but was different from the complete salat we have today
