My brother in law, as a teen, was the one that cut them up and taste tested them. He’d come home and be so full of melon he wouldn’t eat dinner 😂

Do none of you know how to pick a good watermelon with out cutting it? Put your ear in it and knock. If it sounds dull then your watermelon is going bad if it sounds more hollow then it’s ripe. Or you can look at the part where the stem came out of its small it’s sweet if it’s big then it’ll be bad. Now go out there and eat that watermelon. But don’t pay super expensive prices for it. They are stealing enough from is as it is.

One exception. Aldi has watermelon and pineapple rectangular slices and they included the bromalain in pineapple and the white part of the rinds in watermelon
