FINALLY someone talks about the spoilers! do u think every major reveal is gonna be canon in the books? like for example I agree that D & J being conceived at the same time is for the play, specially bc I bet George wants the confirmation of who the prince is to be revealed in the books.

If it’s semi canon the two wives part is dumb then imo. one Lyanna being a greenseer I feel like it kills Bloodraven character as the last greenseer left imo. and having the two wives is also kinda crazy the faith basically accepted incest because of the exceptionalism thing of jaehaerys but not polygamy And that’s what literally started the faith militant rebellion and they barely accepted it for aegon too why should rhaegars be accepted? Damn we forgot about aegon and the faith tacit agreement?

amazing lore drop from the play. i remember constantly some fans had a diff take on rhaegar and lyanna and an assumption of elia as a poor suffering wife, so it was amazing to read these lore tidbits.

I love the idea of Elia being a political player like Doran and not just a passive victim the way fandom loves to keep her. But the idea she’d be ok with her husband running off with another woman from a noble house, who’s engaged to another noble house, the two of whom are allies, just makes no sense to me. That just seems like such a dumb move from someone who’s supposed to be politically savvy given the history with Maegor, the Dance, Blackfyre Rebellions etc
