@drmalekpt: If you feel called out… Good 💅 kidding, but I actually do need yall to lock in on these habits and themes. I’ve been a PT for 10 years now and I keep seeing the same stuff, over and over. Not “maybe this happens.” I mean I can spot it from a mile away when it’s on its way. I don’t wanna say “I KNOW” what’s coming for most of you as your body ages, bc obvi I’m not psychic. But I could bet what injuries or pains you or your friends MAY face. I can’t tell you how many times someone tells me of an injury and while it sucks, I’m usually not surprised when I hear how it happens (besides traumatic and one offs ofc). 😶 Like if you decide to go into a marathon sign up with zero training. 😶 Or if your sleep has been fckall for weeks to months. 😶 Or if you took 6 months off and decided to do 8 Barry’s classes back-to-back bc “you just had to have a good streak since it’s been a while.” 😩 These really are that common: back pain, sciatic pain, rotator cuff related pain, Achilles tendinopathy, ankle sprains, hamstring strains, neck pain, and patellar tendon pain. BUT…. This isn’t about avoiding every injury. Let’s be real, they’ll probably still happen. Hopefully minor. But knowing what actually moves the needle can save you time and headache. No one has time for injuries they could’ve trained around at the very LEASTTT. ✅ The people I see with the best outcomes are often the ones who built a strong baseline and actually took care of their bodies and brains along the way. Regular exercise (cardio and strength training). Adequate nutrition. Sleep. And making it work where you can. 💭 Anyways tell me which one resonates, or send it to the friend who needs it more than you do!!” 👋 Follow for tips on navigating stupid injuries! What’s the deal with incline walking? A lot of people are saying it’s more effective than jogging and I cannot believe that

Totally agree with the poking. Massage guns are for activation, trigger point is such a better way to calm a muscle down.
