@emilybreakfield64: Today was Nate Dogg’s first day of 5th grade. 🥹📚🤍 Also… y’all forgive me for posting this so late. 😂 We’re still learning this whole content thing, and let me just say… it’s HARD. I don’t know how all you amazing mamas keep up with recording, editing, posting, working, chasing kids, and somehow still folding laundry. I salute every single one of y’all because whew… this is a full time job in itself. 🤍 Before we keep sharing these videos, I just wanted to share a little bit of the “why” behind them. Nathan and I have talked about documenting this journey from the very beginning. We’ve recorded so many little moments, and honestly, a lot of them have just been sitting in my drafts. If I’m being honest, I was the one holding us back. I thought recording the memories for ourselves was enough. But when Nathaniel kept telling me he wanted to share his journey not only so he could look back one day and see how far he’s come, but because maybe, just maybe, another child or another family walking a similar road might see his story and feel a little less alone. That really stuck with me. We also have so many family members and friends who love Nathan so much but live miles away. This feels like such a sweet way to let them be part of the little moments they otherwise wouldn’t get to see. Between doctor’s appointments, school, soon to be therapy, back to work, and just everyday life, it can be hard to answer every text, call, and message the way we’d like to. Please know we see every prayer, every check in, every kind word, and every bit of love. It truly means more than y’all will ever know. If God gave me the courage to finally hit “post,” and these videos become a way for our loved ones to stay connected, for Nathan to have memories he’ll treasure one day, or for even one family to feel encouraged… then my heart is full. Thank y’all for loving our boy, praying over our family, checking in on us, and walking this journey alongside us.
