no, Huawei was the most advanced with their own silicone & was about to do a big a Mate 10 pro flagship launch(they never sold their flagship here prior) in the US starting with at&t in 2017 and this is when they got banned. during this time most of the US was still using Android but it was also when many was switching to iOS because HTC, LG etc was falling off, Samsung Note 7 ban & Chinese brands rising. Huawei would've opened doors for other Chinese brands and give customers more options. instead many jumped to iOS, this was a crucial turning point for Android in the US.

So my hot take is that Motorola makes the best entry level phones and I would even say the best budget phones, given by the fact that we are affected by an awful economy, the Moto edge 70 fusion seems pretty promising spec wise especially given by the fact it released during the awful economy while brands like Nothing couldnt really keep up and fell off with the phone 4b for example.
